Silent Movie Poster 

1920s


Silent movies were very popular in the "Roaring 20s". People loved to laugh at silent movie actors like Charlie Chaplin. In 1927, sound was added to the movies and they became know as "talkies". 

Rubik's Cube 

1980


The Rubik's Cube was a toy played with by kids and adults in the 80s. It was a toy used to test your intelligence.  when it first came out it was just or fun but soon after it became a toy used in competitive competitions. 

Star Wars Original Script

1970s 


Star Wars was a very popular movie in the "Sensational 70s" and is still popular today. The first film was released in 1977 and there are 7 different Star Wars movies now with another one on the way. The movies have many well known characters such a Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Rationing Calendar

1940s


Rationing was a big part of the 1940s. This was done so that the Canadians in the war can have all the food they need to have energy to fight. The rationing calendar told people in the home front what foods they can eat on certain days so they don't over buy.

Concentration Camp Uniform

1940s


Concentration camps were a horrible place where Jews were forced to go to do work and be tortured. To kill big amounts of Jews, Nazis would put them in gas chambers were they would release deadly gas to kill them in minutes.   

Firetruck From 9/11 Attack

2000s


On September 11, 2001 2 planes flew into the sides of the twin towers in New York. 2,996 people died and over 6,000 were injured. There were also 2 other plane involved in the terrorist attack, one of them hit the Pentagon in Washington and the other crashed in a field in Pennsylvania which was headed for the white house.

Train Car

1930s


Train hopping happened all the time in the 1930s. For a lot of people it was the only way to get around. Hobo's would often use them to get from one city to another so they can find a job.   

Titanic Artifact

1900s


In the 1900s the titanic was the biggest ship ever built. it was a passenger ship headed to New York carrying 2228 people but hit an ice berg off the cost of Halifax and sank on April 15, 1912.

Bennett Buggy

1930s


A Bennett Buggy was used by many people in the 1930s. The Bennett Buggy was a car that had its engine taken out of it and it was pulled by horse or ox. people that couldn't afford a car usually used this method of travel.

Rockets Hockey Stick

1950s


Maurice Richard was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played 18 seasons for the Montreal Canadians. He was the first player to ever score 50 goals in 1 season. 

Montreal Olympic Torch 

1970s


The Montreal Olympics were held in Montreal, Canada in 1976. There were over 92 countries participating with 6,084 athletes. There were many different summer sports such as canoeing, cycling, running and many more. 



Wayne Gretzky Jersey

1980s


Wayne Gretzky was a former professional hockey player who played for Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and LA Kings. He was born in Brantford, Ontario on January 26, 1961. He played 20 seasons in the NHL and made many hockey records.
